He probably don't care for both, lol. But hey, Ant, it's all good. But you're one of the only few to even say that. The only reason I like "I'm Gonna Make U Love Me" is because of Eddie. I sing his part. Diane's "Last Time I Saw Him" irks me to no end. GRRR! LOL Timmy we all know it`s all good.

Which version of "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" that you dislike? Marvin`s or Gladys Knight and the Pips`? I am not fond of either one, but I'd chose Gladys' version anytime. Oh,ok

Marvin's Grapevine ... Weird, freaky sound Supremes' Reflections ... Even Flo's bgs didn't save this one of the just plain ODD production and arrangement ... Someday We'll Be Together ... Don't like the arrangement or style of the song Temptations' Sorry Is a Sorry Word ... Arrangement and tone don't work for me ... Grapevine ... How many times was this re-recorded ... Got worse each time for me ... It's Your Thing ... Very weird production with the echo and what not ... Wrong move, Norm ... Slave ... Too out there in every way Martha & the Vandellas' cover of My Boyfriends' Back ... Just wrong on so many levels

LOL @ Motown Honey, well I can see why you and ant be freaked out about it now because of that intro, lol. Blame Norman Whitfield. :cheezy: That was truly dude's idea... he made some Temptations songs sound freaky as well... but I guess he wanted to give both Marvin and the Tempts some funk umph in 'em which is why these productions can seem VERY freaky and out there. That was the sound at the time too.

BTW, whoever said they didn't like the Supremes version of You Really Got A Hold On Me, do you have it?
If you do, could you post it - or if anyone does?
Thanks!

Dang, ant, but I gotta agree, something about "Going to a Go-Go" is off... maybe it's because of the lead singer. I ain't saying, I'm just saying...

Not to be mean, but Smokey sounds bad on that song. Like Diane Ross on Beach Ball, it was just to high for him. Mickey's Monkey is much better tho. Oh and scratch Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing off my list. I just listened to it and like it better now!

Another dislike for me ... Marionette by Kim Weston ... I love her voice as we all do but this version just throws me too much ... I prefer the Marvels
