Just wondering what are some of everybody's favourite background vocals by these lovely ladies?? Could be from any songs by any of the artists Some of my personal favourites would be from, Ask The Lonely with the Tops and Mercy Mercy Me by Marvin. I almost get chills hearing them at the end of that song. They are one of my favourite female groups of all time regardless of not having their own albums because you can't beat those harmonies :respect:

Another great topic :cheezy:
For me it goes without saying alot my faves would be the ones done with the Tops...a killer combination. Two of the songs that stand out would be Call On Me and Love Has Gone. I love hearing these Ladies when their vocals start reaching :yeahbaby:
I think I'll just throw in the entire What's Going On? album too :bubble:
I'll be back...

Their background vocals on the Four Tops' hits and Marvin's hits after 1964 are BREATHTAKING. The background vocals on Marvin's "Mercy Mercy Me" especially at the end sends chils up and down my spine. The Andantes were an amazing harmony group!!! :holla:

i think they fit well with the four tops because their vocals added spice to the tops sound and they could take somebody else's song and turn it in to one of their own ;D

According to Mary Wilson the only songs she and Cindy sang on during that era were the ones done with the Temptations...

Marionette by the Marvelettes
Talk about harmonizing and blending beautifully Entirely different from the records with the Four Tops, which were equally as lovely

And I'd like to add My Guy by Mary Wells
I think I prefer the fellas (Love-Tones) backing Ms Motown, but the A's sound great
As they do on Kim Weston's Looking for the Right Guy
