The 2005 Motown Music Fest, hosted by Jenifer Lewis and Mario Winans, will honor songwriters, Brian Holland, Lamont Dozier and Edward Holland. A star-studded performance is scheduled for September 9-10, 2005, at the Fox Theater in Detroit.
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 7, 2005 -- The 2005 Motown Music Fest, hosted by Jenifer Lewis and Mario Winans, will honor songwriters, Brian Holland, Lamont Dozier and Edward Holland.
Holland-Dozier-Holland was Motown Record’s premier songwriting production team responsible for the “Motown Sound.” They wrote and produced over twenty five top ten hits that were popular with black and white audiences and put Motown’s brand of soul music into the fore front of American popular music.
A star-studded performance is scheduled for September 9-10, 2005, at the Fox Theater in Detroit, Michigan, which promises to be one of the most entertaining events of the year.
WHAT:
Motown Music Fest, LLC, along with The City of Detroit will honor Motown songwriter’s/producer’s Brian Holland, Lamont Dozier and Edward Holland with a Lifetime Achievement Award for their groundbreaking achievements in influencing the direction of popular music worldwide at the Fox Theater in Detroit, Michigan on September 9, 2005.
On-stage a star-studded lineup of entertainers will perform some of their favorite Holland, Dozier and Holland songs.
Music superstars scheduled to perform include: The Miracles, The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Contours featuring Joe Billingslea, Mary Wilson, Freda Payne, Martha Reeves, Faith Evans, Teena Marie, Chaka Khan, Johnny Gill, Ann Nesby as well as other special surprise guests.
