From MAA....
MARY WILSON PERFORMING IN HOME TOWN AREA Mary's first performance at home in years
"If you've never seen her show before, be prepared to be entertained. This performance will be the first time in many years that Mary Wilson formerly of the Supremes will bring her entire show to the Detroit area. Though Wilson has been in Detroit a number of times within the last couple of years, for various events such as the Vagina Monologue theatrical play, and the Four Tops 50th Anniversary program; she is bringing her variety of songs and supremism to Dearborn, Michigan at the Dearborn Performing Arts Center at Henry Ford College, Saturday November 20, 2004."
Come and experience the majesty of supremism with MARY WILSON!

In addition to the above..... Two Supremes Play Motown -- But Apart
By Susan Whitall / The Detroit News
It has to be an interesting alignment of the planets that's brought former Supremes Diana Ross and Mary Wilson back to their hometown to perform -- separately, of course -- in the space of three days this week.
As part of a comeback tour of sorts, Ross is booked into the Detroit Opera House for a show Thursday, while Wilson is doing a show at Dearborn's Ford Community and Performing Arts Center two days later, on Saturday.
"So Detroit's getting a little girrl power," says Wilson with a laugh. "I think it's great. A lot of fans are flying in to see her, then they're going to stay over and see me. They love us all. That's the way it should be."
Ross, for her part, strikes a slightly chillier tone when asked about her former Supreme mate.
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, Ross only grew testy with an interviewer when he asked if she would ever sing with Wilson again. Wilson declined to join Ross' 2000 reunion tour because of a dispute over money.
"I tried it, and I will never try it again, so that's the end of that," Ross told the newspaper. "Why do people want to keep hassling me to do that? I sang lead on all those songs, so I sing them on stage (by myself)."
So you can hum "Someday We'll Be Together" all you want, but a Supreme reunion isn't in the cards, for our lifetime anyway.
Wilson powers on, presenting an upbeat view on her life and career at the moment. She's excited to play Detroit with her own group for the first time in a long time.
Unlike Ross, Wilson is in and out of Detroit a lot from her home base in Las Vegas. For several years, she's been working on an album here for Holland-Dozier-Holland's production company.
In 2003, she attended Aretha Franklin's prayer vigil for Luther Vandross in Detroit, and last summer she literally stopped the taping of the Four Tops tribute at the Opera House cold, wearing a breathtaking red ballgown.
Most recently, Wilson has a syndicated radio show, "The Motown Show with Mary Wilson," distributed by Westwood One (and not carried in Detroit yet, she says pointedly).
She serves as a cultural ambassador for the United Nations, most recently visiting schools for women and girls in Bangladesh and Pakistan.
As for recording an album with no record contract, the singer isn't worried. "It's just a new day, and people have to come up with new ways of handling music," Wilson says. "I'm just grateful to be recording again."
