HITSVILLE RADIO ONLINE NOW!!
Former Motown Stars On "The Big Deeeeee" Internet radio Station Hitsvilleradio.com
(MAA NEWS) August 11, 2007 - With the advent of Internet radio, everybody can get in on the web-phenomena, and former Motown artists are no different than anyone else.
Hitsvilleradio.com is the new wave of getting your fix of baby boomer-mania. Former Motown artists and other Detroit natives are the Disc Jockeys for the station that broadcast themselves as coming straight from "The Big Deeee" (as in Detroit).
Artists such as Rosalind Holmes & Annette Helton of the "Original" Vandellas, Spyder Turner ("THe Last Dragon/ Stand By Me"), and Kim Weston ("It Takes Two" & "Take Me In Your Arm") have been commissioned to broadcast and are stars of their own hour syndicated radio program. Other jockeys are Billy "Still Bill" Wilson (president of the Motown Alumni Association/ co-writter of "Big Apple Rappin' "), Debra Davy (formerly of WCHB in Detroit), Secialue "Special" Porter, Gino Washington (GG The Super Jock/ "Gino Is A Coward"), and Val Woodard (International Talk Show),
Hitsvilleradio.com is also joining with Paltalk.com to form one of the worlds first celebrity based Interactive Video Chatrooms. The Hitsville Lounge is a chatroom where consumers can chat with the stars for free in Paltalk.com, while the celebrities are on air at Hitsvilleradio.com. "This is the first of it's kind for Paltalk" said Billy Wilson the Executive Director of Hitsvilleradio.com; "... and based on the worldwide response, the format is expected to be a massive success in a few months."
Wilson also said that Hitsvilleradio.com is having it's grand opening August 25, 2007 the same day of the grand opening of the historical Hotel St. Regis in Detroit on West Grand Blvd, just down the street from the Motown Historical Museum. The station personalities are planning on covering the hotels opening with the aura of Motown stars that are expected to attend.
Listen to the coverage live at Hitsvilleradio.com or come see the live video feed at Paltalk.com (find the Hitsville Lounge in the chatroom area).
