Michael Jackson Roars Back With G-UnitEmbattled pop star Michael Jackson will hit the streets in the coming weeks with the new song "Trial of the Century", which features 50 Cent, Lucy Diamonds and DJ Whoo Kid. The track will be found on Whoo Kid's mixtape "MJ Unit - The Takeover", which will also feature five unreleased Jackson songs and mashups of his prior hits with songs from the G-Unit camp, Billboard.com has learned. Sources say "MJ Unit - The Takeover" will also boast exclusive tracks from 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Mase, Young Buck, Mobb Deep, M.O.P. and Lucy Diamonds. Jay-Z has also been contacted to contribute to the project, which will be released via G-Unit/Interscope and Jackson's new Two Seas label. "Trial of the Century" will be the first taste of new music from Jackson since his June 2005 acquittal on multiple child molestation charges. He has since moved his base of operations from California to Bahrain, where he has begun preproduction on his first new studio album since 2001's "Invincible". Sources say the first single from the as-yet untitled album, "Now That I Found Love", will be released Nov. 21 and will also feature Lucy Diamonds. The track is being produced by Jackson and longtime producer Bruce Swedien, who engineered the classic "Thriller" and co-produced the album "Dangerous". As previously reported, Two Seas Records is a joint venture between Jackson and Abdulla Hamad Al-Khalifa. U.K. record executive Guy Holmes has been tapped as CEO of the label and will also be tasked with managing Jackson's other business interests. www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1002385180---- Say what you want about the G-Unit thing, but I'm actually stoked to hear new music from 'The King of Pop'. I still love him for all the music he's giving us.

 @ the update: Michael Jackson Eyeing 50 Cent CollaborationUpdating information first posted here this afternoon, embattled pop star Michael Jackson is eyeing a collaboration with superstar rapper 50 Cent. The first fruit of a potential pairing would likely appear on a mixtape spearheaded by DJ Whoo Kid, who tells Billboard.com he is heading in two weeks to Jackson's new adopted home of Bahrain to take possession of tracks Jackson has been working on in his home studio. 50 Cent's spokesperson stresses that at deadline, the artist has made no commitment to appear on the mixtape or on Jackson's next studio album, which will be released on Jackson's new Two Seas label. Sources say the first single, "Now That I Found Love", will be released Nov. 21 The track will be produced by Jackson and longtime collaborator Bruce Swedien, who engineered the classic "Thriller" and co-produced the album "Dangerous". ---- But either way, we're gonna be granted new music from Michael again!

Michael and the child (possibly); what is the world coming to :notgettingit:
Why not work with his little sister's honeyboy, Jermaine Dupri? I think he does pretty well with Mariah :boogie:
I've been looking for some new material from MJJ for awhile; actually enjoyed Invincible :ilovemusic:

Yeah I loved "Invincible" (mainly the R&B ballads and some of the up-tempo ones). LOL Actually DJ Whoo Kid is a known (grown, lol) hip-hop deejay who reps G-Unit, I think. But yeah, he could be working with JD... then again, I don't think he should because that'll be copying his sister. LOL

Me says no but we shall see HOW MUCH hip-hop he puts in it. Only Janet has been able to merge hip-hop (beats) with R&B tho.

If not JD, someone that has an R&B track record, a proven track record. I'm sure fans of G-Unit and the Whoo person, enjoy their work, but I don't know. I wasn't too fond of the work with Teddy Riley and MJJ, well it wasn't what I thought it could be or should have been. Mike's work with R Kelly was impressive though, better get with him before.................CLANK,CLANK! Or maybe he'll be Mike's neighbor in Bahrain................

 @ y'all...
Ok, Funk, I understand what you mean now when you said 'child'... funny because Mike's gonna be FIFTY in a couple of years (after this year is over with). Imagine that, "little" Michael of the Jackson 5 turning 50 years old. Who woulda thunk?
Anyway, hmmm... I just wish the best for Mike. He could pull it off, maybe, then again, who knows? We all have had our own opinions about directions certain artists take.
I personally would love it if he just makes a straight R&B album again in the days of "Off the Wall". People claim he lost his way after "Thriller" (tho I love all his albums up until now) but you know how it is when you're popular versus when you're popular for something other than music.

True, Quick; and I meant grown-folks music. I just don't think of 50 (Lord have mercy) as music for grown folks, no offense. I think his appeal is for a certain market; young and those with certain tastes. Not what I think Mike had, has or want; at least I hope he doesn't want that! But yeah, we never know, it could work out well with sales and exposure for him, but I'm with you on another Off the Wall; I play that album more than any and I do like Thriller, I just think Off the Wall is his best. I'm just a fan of his work, he's a genius in his own right, sad that the alleged crimes and incidents and and accusations are overshadowing that. I definitely think he still has the ability and what it takes to make great music and even be successful.

Well punk'd me and call me Ashton Kutcher!
Now I'm hearing that the news that there was a planned mixtape with Mike wasn't TRUE! I don't know why but some clever dude e-mailed the news to Billboard and claimed to be one of the executives on MJ's new Two Seas Records label.
And that there WON'T be a new single on Nov. 21 as was reported. That's also been denied as untrue by MJ's label. And there's no planned duets with a Lucy Diamonds or a 50 Cent (least not yet, according to Whoo Kid, who wants to see if he can actually achieve something like that with Michael).
So I think we can ALL breathe a sigh of relief. :cheezy:

Oh, and this is confirmed news from weeks ago:
Michael IS working on a new album scheduled for a late 2007 release. Least that's what was true.
