Yeah, he talked about 60 years of contributions by black music artists. He talked about Motown briefly and mentioned other record labels/sounds. EBONY called Marvin Gaye one of the "truth tellers". See atop the article with all the pictures of the artists and one of Gaye from a 1970s concert. Marvin's also represented in an ad in the magazine and on the bottom of it, it says "NEVER BLEND IN". They represented him beautifully!

I read the article too and thought it was very well wrtitten. The entire issue is one of the best they've ever done :kingtheman:
