Read all about it on a Temptations greatest hits booklet. I've been knowing this though. Thanx.
Roger wrote the song after his wife cheated on him with another man and he didn't wanna live without her so he killed himself. The Tempts used "I Wish It Would Rain" and "I Could Never Love Another (After Loving You)" to pay tribute in sorts to him. Both songs were hits after his passing and ironically were the two last records to feature David Ruffin singing lead.

Very sad... you can say most of the Temptations' '60s records were bittersweet symphonies.

Was this the same Roger who recorded a couple of songs and tried to establish himself as a singer as well as a songwriter?
