A serious stomach bug has rocked LL Cool J's bells.
The Grammy-winning hip-hopster has scrapped the remaining 12 dates on his current concert tour after coming down with an abdominal ailment.
"I am extremely disappointed to have to cancel the rest of this fun and successful tour," LL said in a statement released Wednesday. "I apologize for disappointing my fans who have already bought tickets."
No word exactly what ails him, but doctors have put the 36-year-old rapper-actor on medication and instructed him to get plenty of rest.
Refunds for the canceled gigs are available at points of purchase.
A hip-hop player since scoring his first hit as a teenager, LL Cool J has been on the road in support of The DEFinition. The disc, his 11th album of original material, debuted at number four on the Billboard charts in September.
When he's not showing off his five-minute abs onstage, the original crunkster has been working hard on developing a big-screen career under his real name, James Todd Smith. His most recent credits include last year's Deliver Us from Eva and S.W.A.T.
Next up, he'll play an ex-con opposite Queen Latifah in Wayne Wang's update of the 1950 British comedy Last Holiday, which originally starred Alec Guinness.
