Hip-hop mogul Sean "P. Diddy" Combs is a busy man these days as his non-profit organization, Citizen Change, kicks into overdrive as the November 2 election draws closer. Combs will launch a three-day get out and vote drive in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tuesday (October 26). Combs will be joined by Leonardo DiCaprio and Mary J. Blige.
Combs will also be following the presidential candidates on the campaign trail as they visit key swing states Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Citizen Change will host rallies in Detroit, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Miami. The organization will also deploy street teams to mobilize voters, distributing literature and providing troubleshooting for voters before the election.
Combs told the Associated Press during a conference call, "To see one day when (the candidates) talk about the needs and concerns of young people, we have to make sure that we also put the pressure on them in the swing states to recognize that these are the people that are going to put them into office."
Combs has been targeting the 40 million eligible voters between ages 18 and 35 with his "Vote Or Die" slogan. The mogul said, "The sleeping giant has awoken and the forgotten ones, this group of 40 million voters, are going to be the deciding factor, because their votes have not been counted."
