I was just listening to the MotownSound station on AOL radio, and it played Heaven Must Have Sent You by the Supremes. Itwas the first I've ever heard that song, since I've heard less positive comments on their music after 1967.
But this song was great! It really had a great beat that really was much different than any other song they did.
Who wrote this song (lyrics/song itself)? I heard that HDH wrote it and it was recorded before Florence left. Is it true?

I believe Holland-Dozier-Holland are creditted with this song also And I also heard that the Supremes' version was recorded before Florence was no longer a Supreme However, I find the Elgins' version with Sandra Mallet far more superior than the Supremes version, sounds similar but the lead singing is no comparison Bonnie Pointer's dance version is pretty good also (I think it's Bonnie )

I didn't even know a version by the Supreme's existed ... I'm more familiar with Bonnie, the Elgins and Marvin with Kim

I adore the Elgins version, jam to it all the time, I heard the Supremes version, but it's not memorable for me
