And I don't believe that Smoke suddenly got into cocaine in the '80s. I believe he was snorting and shooting up with Marvin, David and 'em back in the '70s, maybe in the '60s even. I believe he may have been using more than cocaine and that's why he looked the way he did when he entered that "storefront" church in '8-6 and suddenly said "I'm free". Well GOOD FOR YOU, SMOKEY, but where were you when Marvin needed you (trying to get him to help him with the IRS payments he had a problem with) and also not trying to help his "best friend/brother" with his drug problems when Smoke obviously was a cokehead himself. Shoot, he probably was a crackhead before he got "sober". It's sad Ronnie White, Pete Moore, Bobby Rogers, Claudette Rogers (BOBBY'S SISTER) and Marv Tauplin ain't said much. But I hope someone rides a fire tank up his butt one of these days and expose him for the biter that he possibly is. :suspect:

So True ((QS)) The leads always get more of the recognition in most cases; it's sad that the other Miracles aren't in the Hall. I'm glad all of MY Tempts were acknowledged and same for the Four Tops, Gladys Knight and the Pips, J5 and Martha and the Vandellas. But where is the justice in the Supremes' case, poor Cindy gets no love!Yeah that was foul and it was not only Cindy but POOR JEAN. She gave the Supremes four, five more hits before they "imploded". Why oh why...

Shoot I bet Smokey was the one who put some of them on that crap in the first place! I don't put anything past him I guess you and Rick are right ((Tim)) - Cocaine is a Helluva drug and still has Smokey thinking he's the man

Smokey and Diana came from the same neighborhood. Shoot, both them idiots probably think the sun rests and shines on their ugly a$$es. I just can't believe I used to like these two. But after hearing all of this, I'm actually getting sick of them. :bonk: And also both of them CAN'T SING WORTH A DAMN!!! I should've sensed something when Diane said Smokey coached her vocally... NO SH*T! I see why!

Nah ((T84)) You are right...which is why I said I prefer Stevie and Marvin's vocals over his in the other thread  ....Smokey was just a bit too limited :sweetassugar:

Right. Stevie and Marvin's were more gritty and streetwise than Smokey's cookie-cutter vocals. Man, and some folks think he was "soulful". I actually think he was too pop even for Motown.
And also why is he always more credited with making Motown the label it was when it was really these guys:
The Funk Brothers William "Mickey" Stevenson Barrett Strong Marvin Gaye Mary Wells The rest of the Miracles ...and to a lesser degree, Berry Gordy, Jr.
Only real reason why Smokey got what he got was because of his "friendship" with Berry Gordy, Jr. If that ain't the most, excuse my language but I think you know what I mean. :suspect:

And I know there's probably more but I'm just naming people who were there in the beginning, add Harvey Fuqua to the list because he discovered Marvin who discovered this small label and BLAM! LOL And Clarence Paul.

I get exactly what you're saying. I give the most credit to the early team players too
