Whichever one has the better storyline and actors I agree, and might I add the one that focuses on Marvin`s entire music career.

Whichever one has the better storyline and actors Interesting ... although right now it's just a big budget VS Jesse L. Martin

I think Jesse was a perfect fit for the '80s-only bio for one reason: Jesse looks nothing like YOUNGER Marvin at all.
So in some way, this was a miracle in disguise. :teehee:

Also in some way, the Marvin indie may be like other indie bios like Basquiat while the big budget one will be like "Ray" and "Walk the Line", lol.

I just hope they are not one dimensional and do him justice. This is no easy task :snotty:

And that's why I had problems with the "Ray" movie. Sure they showed some parts of his character, but they didn't really show all of "Ray". When I watched the movie and the aftermath, I was so disappointed in it. I hope the Marvin movies are like Malcolm X's though.

If they were to be as good as that I would probably be floored, because that is the pinnacle of all bios in my eyes lol

Yep, "Malcolm X" was an eye-opener. That's the movie that educated me on the man who happened to be the greatest civil rights leader outside or probably better than, Martin Luther King, Jr. IMHO. Marvin was a mixture of Malcolm and Martin musically, don't you agree? :cheezy:

Yeah, I know... who could top THAT biography!?! I'll actually be surprised if either of Marvin's films can match its beauty tho I doubt it. You know how producers/directors are nowadays. A half-hackneyed bio can get picked up for Oscar nods these days ("Walk the Line", "Ray", etc). It wasn't bad ("Ray") in re-introducing Mr. Charles but it did bad in both the facts department and the film editing. It just looked like a bad documentary or something. LOL
