i think i did that already. the lyrics were sung pretty loud i remember. similar to how Everyday People by Sly and the Family Stone was sung. The chorus was sung like "MAKE YOU HAPPYYYYY!!! *DUMDUMDUMDUM* *CLASH CYMBAL* MAKE YOU HAPPYYYYYYY!!!" something like that. I was a kid when it played so i don't remember the lyrics but it was just a year ago when i saw a tv infomercial about soul of the 70's or motown of the 70's or it might have been just simply a 70's album in general. there were only a couple of songs i tuned in for and that was the only song played that stood out because i remembered it but again they only played the part above. I hope someone can help. I know this song exists but i just don't recall the singer or band or anything. it seems like it was a band i recognized and had no idea it was them. Please help.

all i have been giving you is the chorus. i don't remember much else about the song. it does seem like the last word before "make you happy" comes on is "down" or "clown" or something with the ow sound. but that's the only part i remember. maybe that will help.

:holla: Wanted to let you know i found the song but it was not a motown song like i thought it was. It was actually sung by a group called Chicago and it was called "Make Me Smile". the way it was sung i assumed it was a motown or soul song so now i'm embarrassed. I apologize.
