Anything Flo-related will shock me right now because it's like you hardly hear about people wanting to do something on her. I noticed that about Flo and a lot of the early deaths of Motown artists Mary Wells is included. Once she left Motown, she was nearly forgotten about until her death when their was a brief coverage of her passing, and now it's barely brought up. However, Marvin Gaye's death is still a huuuge deal (esp to women! lol)

LOL very true
Marvin has cult status and was much older at the time of his early death than many of our classic angels

It's really weird how when at the time of Flo's passing, she really never lost fame ever since 1964 (infact she was gaining more fame). And when she died, it seemed like the entire world wanted to say their final farewells. Nowadays, if you ask somebody if they know who Flo Ballard was theyd have no clue but if you mention the Supremes, they'll remember alot. The true Motown fans won't know the group by just the group name, but by their individual names (since they were each mentioned every single time they performed! )

And that's sad, not to know Florence Ballard or members, but at least they know the groups, I guess That's what we all are doing, keeping their memories alive, beyond the music, as great as it is, but their careers were remarkable too

If you've never seen Faith Evans before, Google Image search her - don't you think she looks like Flo?
I wonder how many people realize this similarity...if ever a Flo movie/Supremes movie, Faith needs to be Flo!

I enjoy Faith's music, a lot of her songs have the classic r&b sound.
She does bear a resemblance to Flo, though I think she's a bit old to play Flo now

...an original Supreme? (Flo, Mary, Diane LOL) Or maybe...anyone ever heard about Betty McGlown or Barbara Martin again? ... My parents saw a live performance of the Supremes back in the 60`s at the Royal Theater in Maryland.

Wow! That's great! What did they perform? I didn`t ask,the only thing I asked my mom about was Flo.She told me that Flo looked pretty and she was quiet,Ross was the one who did most of the talking(now why didn`t that surprise me). She did mention that they put on a good show.

The Royal Theater was the home of numerous Motown Acts. My parents also saw live Smokey Robinson and the Miracles,Martha and the Vandellas,Little Stevie Wonder. As a matter of fact my dad met Martha Reeves,he said that she was real nice and down to earth.

Not exactly but I have some information on Flo by way of Al Abrams that I was supposed to post from about a week ago lol Al was the first employee at the company in '59 and later on, became Flo's publicist when she went solo. But the latest news is that a guy by the name of Peter Benjainson is currently writing a biography on Flo and another guy is working on documentary for her. Both of them have contacted Al and he said he is going to be involved with both projects Well this is something I never expected but it really is a good idea. I just hope each project sees the light of day (fingers crossed) Have any dates been set yet? No not yet, but hopefully he will keep fans up to date with what's going on so I can report back
