That's right Ant Like Quick and Roadie say they were Motown's rock group, giving them yet another direction

Nah, I think their music reminded me much of Little Richard energy wise. :cheezy:

Still Rock N Roll undertones lol... but they definitely had the comparable energy there ((Quick))

Nevertheless, they game a sound that crossed over probably the least during that era, but now their biggest hit, Do You Love Me, is one of Motown's signature songs.
Rock + Motown + Contours = A+ Hit !

Really, the Contours and the Isley Brothers were a few of the black artists that I could call rock & roll besides the "usual suspects", lol.

Yep Quick The Contours had rockability and with some promotion would have been as big then or for longer, than they are now

Without the Contours, once again, Motown would just not have been the same.
Same goes for almsot every other artist!

I'm not sure if there is enough footage of these guys for them to have their own Anthology but what would be nice, is if Motown Universal released some kind of boxset on them with a bonus disc of whatever footage is available. Not only do they deserve it but for me there isn't enough on them

I think there's enough for a double disc set, with all of their single releases and I'm sure there's some stuff in the can too
