From an E-Mail....
Under new management, Motown's legendary vocal group The Miracles are pleased to announce the addition of lead singer, Mark Scott. A Michigan native, Scott is no stranger to the entertainment world - beginning his career as a featured vocalist in the 1984 film "Breaking II Electric Boogaloo".
J Reed & Associates has the privilege of working with this classic group who evoke the memories of happy times when Motown was the only music on the menu.
Radio Station KISS 102.7 in Detroit welcomed The Miracles and Frances Nero on June 11, 2005 at The Motown Museum by way of broadcasting live on the lawn of this infamous building. The artists signed autographs and took photos with their fans and Frances certainly was a hit singing the song that won her the contest that gave her a Motown contract.
Mrs. Edwards was on hand to oversee the event, surrounded by her loving family.
John Mason, DJ will be broadcasting (8 am - 12 noon) at the museum each Saturday in June in honor of Black Music Month. June 18th will feature Spyder Turner of "Stand By Me" fame. Everyone is welcome to visit - no charge and "good eats" followed the broadcast.
