Tammi Terrell Bio Coming
By Dan Gross
Good news for those who want to preserve the memory of late North Philly-native Motown great Tammi Terrell.
Randy Brown of Platinum Pushers Entertainment has secured a publisher, England's Bank House Books, for a Terrell biography written by her sister, Ludie Montgomery, due out next spring.
And John Ridley's novel "A Conversation With the Mann," in which Terrell is prominently featured, is being developed into a film by producer/director George Tillman Jr., who was behind "Barbershop" and "Soul Food."
Brown says Montgomery's book is also being developed into a screenplay.
Philadelphia International Records co-founder Kenny Gamble and former Commerce Director Jim Cuorato are also pushing for ceremonies to commemorate Terrell's memory, including a star on the Avenue of the Arts Walk of Fame.
Terrell is most remembered for her excellent duets with Marvin Gaye. She died from a brain tumor in 1970 at age 24.

An Official word from Vicki Wright herself "Hello Everyone... We are finally done....and the book is out in June, a little later than we had hoped...but none the less , I know you will enjoy it. Ludie shares great photos in the book....WOW! We can't wait to share Tammi with her fans..Ludie and I peek in here often and read what you all discuss - we talk about how all of your questions will be answered........ Tammi had an amazing life .....I think her fans will bve very inspired by her, just as they are now by her voice and music - her life was an example to follow - I learned life lessons from these two sisters that will stay with me forever...... Be well everyone... Thank you for all of your support and love, Vickie"

I CAN NOT wait...I have always loved Tammi as a duet, and now, as I have been exposed to her solo material; SHE should have been a solo artist or lead in a group. At least she got to shine with Marvin.
