I was planning not to interfere with the publicity surrounding
Maxine Ballard Jenkins' book, since she's a Ballard family member, but since she has made a statement that's not entirely accurate, due to lack of information, I must set the record straight. Florence Ballard DID leave behind an autobiography. In 1975, Flo told me the story of her entire life up to that point. I recorded her story in her own words. The tapes are in perfect condition. The information from the tapes will be included in the Flo Ballard biography I'm now completing, THE LOST SUPREME. Although the information from the tapes constitutes a portion of the book, the rest of the book is filled with new information I've gathered during the past year, including revelations about the relations among the Supremes, Flo's relationship with Berry Gordy, Flo's relationship with Motown, and much more. It is scheduled to be published later this year.

I'm not sure if you guys know this already but I posted it anyway because I was doing a lil mail catch up and this was over at Flo's yahoo group. Nothing against Maxine but I feel reeeaaal happy knowing that we are close to getting the truth from Flo herself!!  |

Things are just become more and more interesting aren't they??...this would mean there are going to be two documentaries on Flo and one Autobiogaphy in addition to Maxine's book, this year alone...I for one can't wait for this...  |

Two documentaries??? Did I miss something? Maybe lol I posted awhile ago that Al Abrams said there are two docs on Flo being planned and he is supposed to be involved. |

Update: This book is going to be officially published in spring of 2008 but copies will be available from February ;D

I got the book and have read it.
This book is MUST READ and is a REAL autobio!! Not to insult Maxine, but this book is serious. Y'all have to get it!

I got the book and have read it.
