"Love Child" and "Someday..." were the only enjoyable songs from the DRATS-era Supremes period, really.

To be honest after Flo`s departure the only song I really liked was "I`m Gonna Make You Love Me". When Jean Terrell came on board,I was into the 70`s Supremes.

Almost forgot about that one and that one was better because Eddie sung the hell out of it, good comparison with Diane, don't you think? I won't say he overshadowed her but, uh... well you know...

I know...I prefer the Temptations version sans Di and the Supremes...And I'll throw in "I'll Try Something New"...Where Eddie DID indeed overshadow her

Motown didn't know what to do with the Supremes when Holland-Dozier-Holland left. As has been said, when HDH left, the label's output dropped dramatically. Smokey couldn't produce a hit, Stevie & Marvin were in their own worlds making plans to break out of the controlling grasps of the label while the Temptations' new direction to funk music and psychedelia overshadow many of the other groups' music, the Supremes included despite the heavy TV buzz surrounding them. To me, the Supremes will always be Flo, Diane & Mary.
