From MAA ;D MAA EBAY AUCTIONING RARE MARVELETTES' AUTOGRAPH - GEORGIA DOBBINS
The Motown Alumni Association is gradually developing an EBAY auction site for it's members, and consumers. The first auctioned item will be that of an original autograph of GEORGIA DOBBINS!
She was the reason the Marvelettes received their recording contract for Motown records.
Though Dobbins never recorded the hit song she originally wrote ("Please Mr. Postman"), she was an original member of Motown's first hit making female group the Marvelettes. She also had the honor of being the original lead vocalist for the group, the person that song with the group during their audition at Motown, wrote the original 'blues' version of "Please Mr. Postman", and was the person that brought future lead singer Wanda Young (Rogers) to the group during her departure.
Dobbins disappeared from singing after her father wouldn't sign the Motown contract! 44 years later, the Motown Alumni Association found her, and she has been making rare appearances at a number of events, and ceremonies ever sense.
This rare autograph would be a valuable collection to Motown collectors worldwide.
After the auction the autograph will be sent within 2 to 4 days. Give no more than 7 days to receive the autograph. All items come with a letter of authenticity from the Motown Alumni Association.
