Originally released August 1959 and re-issued March 11th 1960, Motown's first Top 40 hit was written by Barrett himself, Berry Gordy Jnr and Janie Bradford Money (That's What I Want)Definitely a Classic jam!

That song was first released by a small label Anna Records and it was Motown's first top 40 hit for Barrett Strong. He was a singer at the time before he became a songwriter with co-writer Norman Whitfield to write many of his their hits by the Temptations in the late 1960's. The song was later covered by the Beatles from the UK Parlophone album "With the Beatles" and the US Capitol album "Second Album".
