Can't agree with you more . It's one thing to say "Hey, what you're portraying is a stereotype", but its a completeley different thing to say "That's damaging to Motown", when it is true lol. Once again, not something we don't already know

Mhm, right there. To me, it just seems either Smokey just wants the attention, or he's trying to hide the guilt, or both .

He wants the attention, he's lived for it for 46 of those 50 years, lol.

lol true. I think that, other than Borat, Dreamgirls is the most controversial film of the year .

Well in terms of how the film is viewed and the private lives of Beyonce and Eddie, yeah I'll say it has controversial overtones to it, lol.

And I mean, not just those ways. But also that it raises so many more questions about Motown, that it sparked new controvery on its own. Its like one of those questions a person brings up, like "Which came first: the chicken or the egg?", that leads to more questions and heated debates and whatnot.

Its like one of those questions a person brings up, like "Which came first: the chicken or the egg?", that leads to more questions and heated debates and whatnot. It sure did! But of course those questions about Motown will go un answered. I think thats one of the reason why Berry hasn't given the word on a Motown movie. He doesn't want to mention the shady things he did, he rather just gloss over it. Which is a shame because Motown is such a great story.
