Hi everyone,
I am a Motown lover from way back. I grew up just north of Detroit, in Utica. Motown was and still is my music.
I recall that in 7th grade we were thrilled when the school played the new Supremes song in the gym after lunch. We had heard about it and were dying to hear it for the first time.
Last year I discovered the Funk Brothers. They are amazing! Now when I listen to Motown songs, I listen with a new ear, focused on the background. I also got the Hitsville USA CD set last year, so I finally have all of my favorite songs.
I am no expert on Motown by any means, so I will bow to all of you here who are.

Thanks for the welcomes!
I didn't know where else to post this question....
I want to know what you all feel are the most smokin', rockin' Motown songs?
My choices are Shotgun, and Gladys' version of Grapevine. When I hear one of those two, I have to dance! :getyagrooveon:
