I heard so far that the Tops brought the house down Now you met Ms Louvan Demps?! You need to come back over here and let us know what the deal is! Hi Hitsville Soul... Let me go in the order my day went in Atlantic City: My room wasn't ready so I had to drag my luggage with me to rehearsals. The band is the Pure Gold band you see on the PBS Specials. They are excellent musicians. These guys are looking at the sheet music, probably for the first time and they rehearse with dozens of groups before the shooting. We finish our rehearsals and I finally get my room. I head back downstairs and who do I see?.... Levi Stubbs, of the Four Tops. He is wheelchair-bound but he looks well. He had his entire family with him. They really do love him and take good care of him. I wanted to get some sleep but couldn't; adrenaline was just flowing after rehearsals. As I hang out, in walks in Ms. Louvain Demps into the theater. I was awestruck. I just tell hoer what an honor it was to meet her. We both learn that we are Christians who serve the Lord and let God be seen in us through our walk. I stayed for the Four Tops band rehearsal and the Andantes minus the Four Tops. The Four Tops open the show at 7:15pm and Theo tears it up. However, due to a techinical issue, the Tops have to reshoot. I have to give Theo his props. He didn't let up on the vocals the second time around. I'm glad it wasn't me. When I solo with my church choir, I'm through for the rest of the morning service - LOL. The Andantes were fine... earlier I saw Louvain showing the youngers girls where their parts came in during rehearsals. The next morning as I was checking out, I met up with Ms. Demps and we spoke briefly. I invited her to visit my church next time she comes to NYC. She stayed waiting for her LIMO while the valet brought my vehicle and made the 3 hr journey back to NYC - LOL

Sounds great ((Curet30)) You lead an interesting life ;D Welcome to the Forum...We are sure glad to have you Oh no... far from it. I work 9 to 6 at a bank; been at the same place for 20 years. When I started 20 years ago I said "I'll be here for a few months and I'll be on tour opening up for the Temptations or Four Tops." Well, 20 years later I'm still here but now I work PART-TIME on a few weekends with Earl Lewis and The Channels. This year marks my TENTH year with the group. My real desire was to be a TEMPTATION. Folks from high school still remember my desire to be a Temptation. I joined a group in high school singing doowop acapella. I wanted the group to be patterned after the Temps but our lead singer could not harmonize. About 11 years after I graduated high school I meet Earl Lewis and we become friends. Three years later in 1995 he asks if I could fill in for their 2nd tenor. I rehearsed on a Wednesday and did my first show three days later. I was a fill-in from 1995 to 1997 and have been a full time member since 1998. It's been fun and I'm still enjoying the ride.
